Jim Fitzgibbon spent 35 years of his career working for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, the world’s leading luxury hotel operator, with more than 36,000 employees globally. At the time of his retirement in December, 2011, he held the position of President, Worldwide Hotel Operations, based at the company’s Home Office in Toronto. In that role, he reported to the CEO and had ultimate responsibility for the operation of the company’s 85 hotels in 35 countries around the world, as well as Corporate Marketing and Sales worldwide.
